Symphony No.4 in Bachtrack's review
Review from Bachtrack by David Truslove notes October’s performance of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and conductor Aleksandar Marković in Poole. They performed Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky and Bohuslav Martinů’s Symphony No. 4, H 305.
„An energising Marković [conducted] with tremendous gusto (...) If the Rachmaninov concerto had been gripping, the Martinů symphony was a sensation, and drew from the BSO a world-class performance, lovingly prepared and bursting with energy,“ writes David Truslove. „So, when will we hear more from this composer? I, for one, would have happily sat through the entire symphony again.“
