Symphony Orchestra of the Capital City of Prague The Prague Symphony Orchestra will close its 91st concert season with an extraordinary musical event. During the final concert on 17 and 18 June, it will present the European premiere of the first version of Bohuslav Martinů's opera Mariken von Nimègue, H 236/2 I, thus contributing to a deeper understanding of a less performed part of the composer's work.

Another Martinů work that will enrich the upcoming concert season is Bohuslav Martinů's Violin Concerto No. 1, H 226, which will be performed by the outstanding violinist Josef Špaček on 15 and 16 April 2026.

The combination of exceptional performers with the work of one of the most important Czech composers of the 20th century promises an exceptional musical experience.
