The programme of soprano Viktorie Kaplanová with harp accompaniment presents folk poetry in a charming setting by 20th and 21st century composers. The concert includes song cycles on folk poetry by Bohuslav Martinů, a song cycle by contemporary composer Sylvia Bodorová and iconic arrangements by Leoš Janáček. As a contrast to the folklore of Slovakia, Bohemia and Moravia, you will also hear stylized arrangements of French and Irish folk songs by British composer Benjamin Britten.
