Martinů at the Janáček Brno 2024 festival

The International Janáček Brno Festival has been held as a biennial since 2008.

In just six years, the festival has become one of the best opera festivals in the world and was the first in the Czech Republic to win the prestigious International Opera Awards for the best festival of 2018.

This year, it takes place from 1 to 24 November 2024, and Martinů will be heard several times.

Saturday 2 November 2024
Martinů Voices, led by Lukáš Vasilek, will perform Five Czech Madrigals.

ŠPAČEK & SEKERA
Saturday 2 November 2024
The recital by the outstanding violinist Josef Špaček will be devoted entirely to compositions by Czech composers from the beginning of the 19th century to the present day.

SPIRITUAL CONCERT
Thursday 7 November 2024
The concert will feature minor sacred compositions as well as Bohuslav Martinů's Field Mass.

JK VOICES
Wednesday 13 November 2024
JK Voices directed by Jakub Klecker will performe compositions for women's choirs.
