Music and sport: an inspiring combination. Did you know that 100 years ago Bohuslav Martinů composed a brilliant orchestral football fireworks display called “Half-Time”? Or that Arthur Honegger set his favorite sport to music in his successful piece “Rugby”? There is a lot to discover!
Legend Beni Thurnheer will host the evening with the sports music pieces, in which the young audience will also be involved. Surprise guests will provide additional highlights. The coach of the wildly storming Neues Orchester Basel is the conductor Christian Knüsel. Let’s play!
