Martinů at Dvořák Prague Festival 2024

Since 2008, the Dvořák Prague Festival has been offering more than two weeks filled with beautiful music and extraordinary cultural events inspired by the life and creative legacy of one of the world’s greatest musical geniuses.

Apart from its stellar performers and ample programme mainly dedicated to the most famous Czech composer, visitors of the 17th edition of Dvořák Prague Festival will have the chance to hear two pieces by Bohuslav Martinů, too.


Concertino Praga | Talent Stage

Youthful energy and an informal afternoon concert go together perfectly. Appearances by talented participants in the Concertino Praga competition represent another event in the series of early evening gatherings at the Bořislavka Centre. Multi-instrumentalist Matthew Stephen Hockaday will perform Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano, H 356.

Memorial to Lidice

The past and the present, tragedy and emotion, the classics and technology. Deep respect for the victims of the Lidice massacre, seemingly taking the place of a moment of silence for all who are dying needlessly in the wars of today. All of the seemingly irreconcilable contradictions will remain unified thanks to the refined sound of the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of the wonderful conductor Ingo Metzmacher
