We invite you to the 27th edition of the traditional festival Martinů fest Polička 2024, which will take place on May 10-26, 2024 in the composer's hometown.
 

THE OPENING CONCERT - Prague Chamber Ballet
Friday 10 May 2024
The opening concert of the festival with Prague Chamber Ballet. Before the concert, you can take part in a traditional act of reverence at the composer's grave.

VOICE IN STRINGS

Chamber recital by Kateřina Kněžíková (soprano) and Kateřina Englichová (harp).

MARTINU STRINGS PRAGUE
Saturday 18 May 2024
Twelve-member string ensemble with founder and artistic director Jaroslav Šonský.

MUSICAL-LITERARY EVENING
Sunday 19 May 2024
Musical-literary evening with the poetry of František Halas. Martinů's cello sonata performed by Václav Petr and Ivo Kahánek will also be performed.

CHOIRS' CONCERT
Saturday 25 May 2024
The Choral Association of Moravian Teachers and Bohuslav Martinů Men's Choir of Polička together at the concert.

HAYDN ENSEMBLE
Sunday 26 May 2024
The Haydn Ensemble was founded in 2016 by the bassoonist of the Czech Philharmonic, Martin Petrák, who is also the ensemble's artistic director.
