Gramophone magazine: Read the review of the new CD!
The release of a CD by a renowned artist is always an event full of anticipation and excitement for both the artists themselves and the fans. Josef Špaček and Miroslav Sekera (together with conductor Petr Popelka and SOČR) released their first joint CD on the Supraphon label and dedicated it only to the music of Martinů. In addition to the chamber works - the wonderful Third Violin Sonata and the brilliant Five Short Pieces - the CD also includes an equally wonderful Concerto for violin, piano and orchestra. Only two months after its release, the CD received a rave review in the leading music magazine Gramophone, which you can read HERE
You can also find more information about the CD on the Supraphon website HERE
We were able to introduce both artists to an audience that loves the music of Bohuslav Martinů already in 2017 at the 3rd Benefit Concert of the BM Institute. (This year, it is still possible to participate in the 9th edition of the Benefit Concert on December 6, 2023 in the Profesní dům on Malostranské nám.)
